About the design
"This poster symbolises the two most important requirements: discretion and uniqueness. The most perfect form is the circle, which can be made perfectly only by people. I symbolise this human activity with the fingerprint, which appears as the shadow of the circle. This refers to the idea that the design should be as modern and unique as a human fingerprint. Like the fingerprint, our mental attitudes are unique and if someone's flow of thinking is different, than the message reaches its goal."

About the competition
To celebrate World Industrial Design Day 2009, design students from Icsid Member Schools invited to design a poster that illustrates the importance of industrial design to humankind. Either a creative illustration or an illustration of the design of a product, the poster had to capture the theme "Industrial Design - The product of human creativity".
