Cape Peninsula University of Technology
The Department of Industrial Design is located on the Cape Town Campus of the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT). CPUT is one of the new Universities of Technology that came about in January 2005 through the merger of two erstwhile institutions; the Cape Technikon and the Peninsula Technikon. The Department originally begun offering Diploma courses at the then Cape Technikon in 1998 and has grown over the years to include offerings at Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral levels.
Our mission is to equip context-responsive and socially responsible design graduates to best serve the needs of South Africa and beyond.
