Icsid Archive: offical transfer in Brighton UK
Hosted by the University of Brighton
June 1-2, 2007
In conjunction with the University of Brighton’s annual degree show, Icsid transfered its archive collection, with material from its entire 50 years of operations, to the Design Archives at the Centre for Research and Development, located at the university’s Faculty of Arts & Architecture.
The Design Archives already contain twelve collections that enhance understanding of design environment, the design profession and design practice. Their focus is British design, but there is also much international significance in the collections, especially in the area of graphic and communication design.
The Icsid archives will add an industrial design focus to the Design Archives. The collection consists of the following archive collections: Design Council, James Gardner, FHK Henrion, Icograda, Paul Clark, Joseph Emberton, Edwin J Embleton, Bernard Schottlander, Alison Settle, WH Mayall, Vokins and the Brighton School of Art.
