2012 China Red Star Design Award

Established in 2006, the China Red Star Design Award is organized by the Beijing Industrial Design Center (BIDC). It intends to promote Chinese enterprises to protect intellectual property rights, introduce good design into China and internationalize Chinese design. In 2011, over 5,000 products from 16 countries and 24 domestic provinces were received.

The Red Star Design Award contributes to the industry of industrial design by honouring good design with various promotions such as; the domestic and international exhibition tour, media reporting and the award ceremony itself. The Red Star Design Award is widely promoted throughout China and continues to propel the development of the design industry through accelerated integration of design and manufacturing, whilst fostering domestic and global collaborations through design.

Submissions

The call for entries for the 2012 China Red Star Design Award will begin on 15 March 2012.
