About the design

This project is developed a Fuel-cell vehicle with humanoid robot technology for "QUICK" people in 2020. A humanoid robot is an autonomous robot because it can adapt to changes in its environment or itself and continue to reach its goal. They try to simulate the human structure and behaviors. Humanoid robots are being developed to perform human tasks like personal assistance, which they should be able to assist any people with dirty or dangerous jobs.

The package of this new concept car is designed for both passengers and their humanoid robot. The robot will sit in front part of vehicle. It could help the driver to control his car when the driver doesn't like to drive. After the car parks, the robot can leave his seat and walk out in front of the car. The robot will able go to help his master, such as helping him to carry heavy stuffs after he has shopping.

And the car is powered by hydrogen using Fuel-cell technology. It is an ecological car. The car exterior design is a sport car package and it is inspired by future humanoid robot body style. It could show a strong dynamic feeling to provide a modern and good quality image for "QUICK" people. They always want their indefinite pursuit of quality.

About the designer

Chik Kin (Derek) Ng was born in Hong Kong in 1978. He has been an automotive design student for last five years. He always has passion for art and automobiles. He had graduated in Higher Diploma with a distinction score in Industrial Design in Hong Kong Institute of Education (IVE/HKDI). He had graduated in Automotive Design BA in Coventry University, United Kingdom and Transportation Design MA in Umea Institute of Design, Umea University, Sweden. He had internship experience at General Motors Europe Advanced Design Studio and Honda R&D Europe Center in Germany, two of the best design organizations in the world. Moreover, He also got several design awards in Hong Kong between 1995 and 2005.
