About the design

This project is developed a cyborg technology vehicle for "QUICK" young professionals (cyborg people) in 2030.

Cyborg-a Hybrid of machine and organism
Cyborg contains Biotechnology and Nanotechnology. It will be main trend in society on coming 20years. We would like to improve our technology by studying our natural organism system. We learn from them to improve our living standard and use our plant energy efficiently. It is because natural organisms always know how to use our plant energy efficiently. This is ecological.

On the other hand, the target user of this new vehicle will be young professionals (e.g. young pilot, doctor, architect, musician, etc). They are pioneer-minded (they appreciate cyborg technology and use it in their human body), tough-minded (they never give up), intelligent (they have knowledge), status (they have pursuit of life quality and enjoy to use trendy quality product) and precisely (they like everything under control precisely). Their living style and attitude have "QUICK" group characteristic.

The project result is Soul-Tech Hybrid Vehicle – a cyborg technology sports car which would provide the best driving sensation for the driver. All kinds of driving information are transmitted directly between the driver's brain and the vehicle. A new driving method is provided through Brain Computer Interface technology (B.C.I.).

To create a two seats sport concept to deliver a heightened driver experience.
Soul-Tech Hybrid Vehicle is designed to mainly use in suburban for fun driving experience. In 2030, Global Climate Change will happen. More regions will become desert and flooding happens in coast areas. Its off-road + 2 seat sport package with electric powered motors will fit for this situation. It provides an uninhibited style and ecological image for driver.

About the designer

Chik Kin (Derek) Ng was born in Hong Kong in 1978. He has been an automotive design student for last five years. He always has passion for art and automobiles. He had graduated in Higher Diploma with a distinction score in Industrial Design in Hong Kong Institute of Education (IVE/HKDI). He had graduated in Automotive Design BA in Coventry University, United Kingdom and Transportation Design MA in Umea Institute of Design, Umea University, Sweden. He had internship experience at General Motors Europe Advanced Design Studio and Honda R&D Europe Center in Germany, two of the best design organizations in the world. Moreover, He also got several design awards in Hong Kong between 1995 and 2005.
