About the design

The product O-I Australia wishes to submit is the new Lean+Green™ range of lightweight wine bottles.

Using new designs and new manufacturing technology, selected 750ml Claret and Burgundy wine bottles are now between 18 and 28% lighter but retain the premium cues of the Australian wine industry.

Such a weight reduction represents one of the largest breakthroughs in wine bottle design and manufacture in Australia. The Lean+Green™ project delivers O-I and its customers substantially lighter weight and more environmentally friendly wine bottles, without compromising the premium look and feel of Australian wine products.
