IMAXEON SALIENT
Australian International Design Award 2010
About the design
The Imaxeon Salient is a device used during medical imaging procedures. The product injects contrast liquid which highlights soft tissues in the body which are then more readily visible during Computed Tomography (CT) scans. The design focuses upon ease of use. The cordless configuration, compact size and portability facilitate positioning relative to the patient and mobility within the workspace. The touch-screen interface was designed in consultation with users to provide a task-oriented workflow.
The clean, contemporary aesthetic is appropriate for the healthcare environment and considers that the product is visible to both the medical practitioner and patient.
