About the design

Hisar, being a leading stainless steel kitchen design brand, has asked for a new tea set that reflects current aesthetics. In this design, the aim was to combine the modern design aesthetics and the Turkish culture of tea drinking. Tearend offers the classic Turkish narrow waisted tea cup with a sharp and dynamic look.

About the designer

Can Yalman graduated from Parsons School of Design in New York with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Product and Furniture Design. He returned to Turkey to continue his design education and gain experience in the field. He worked with Arcelik/Beko for 7 years as a staff and senior designer creating classic products like the Orbital series.  In 2002 he started his own design studio, Can Yalman Design, where he and his team provide industrial design, product development, marine design, packaging and graphic design services as well as Branding and design consulting services for clients such as Arcelik/Beko, Canakkale Seramik, Garanti Bankasi, AFBBANK, Numarine, Nurus, Kahve Dunyasi, Hisar, Step, Deniz Ticaret Odasi, Cigarette Super Yachts, Turmak, and Inform.
