REIMS TRAMWAY STATION SHELTER
Observeur du Design 12

About the design

Shelter: A place allowing you to find protection from the outside elements (rain, wind, etc.) and hazards. Over and above their traditional function as service equipment, tram stop shelters in Reims have been designed to create a special link with users.

These shelters are service equipment designed to meet standards of visibility, resistance and accessibility for people with reduced mobility while hosting units for use by passengers such as benches, lighting, signage and automatic ticket machines. In addition to functional aspects, they have been designed to create a special link with users. The roof is embedded with methacrylate lines of bright colours and lit by LEDS. These light beams create a particularly attractive colourful display.

The sleek design of the shelters and the stained glass effect create a striking, distinctive image which resonates with the spirit of the city, the overall appeal of the vehicles as well as urban and pedestrian developments.
