About the design

Divide&Cool is the first application of modular fridge and freezers in the world. 3 or 4 compartments could be cooled by just one refrigerating circuit and evaporator. Four different versions are offered including combinations of 7 cabins. The evaporator unit is separated from the cabins to obtain more silent and comfortable kitchen environment. It contains the first non-vibrating glass door wine cooler in the world. VCC compressor inside the unit optimises the cooling capacity providing 30% less energy consumption. It is a green unit by its ROHS and WEE qualified production process, with 85% recyclable material.

Judges comments

"Functional superiority. This system represents a new approach to household refrigeration products with 4 differently sized modules, a multitude of kitchen arrangements are possible. The size of the modules also permits installation at heights maximally efficient for users with limited vertical reach in either direction. Modules can be dedicated for storage of particular foods at the ideal temperature and humidity of those foods, extending freshness and good taste.

Aesthetic superiority. The modules are well detailed and designed for maximum utility. They are designed to accept standard or custom door coverings so that users can reflect their aesthetic preferences and established kitchen appearance."
