KAID had played an important part of the role in Korean industrial Design since the year of 1972 established. All the members of KAID have renowned for professional industrial designer's group. The development of KAID have been known as a connection with Korean economics and industrial design parts.
In the early days, we have been made a point at illumination of design to notify a possibility of a role of Industrial design and development by having many kinds of design competitions and exhibitions and managing summer school.
In the year of 1983, we have joined at ICSID and showed our group as a representative to the other countries and gained fame and made further international exchanges. We have been progressed actively the professional information and personal exchanges by having a international seminar many times and published professional study book like design study book.
We had established Korean Industrial Design Prize which selected excellent industrial designer in Korea, we also held a ICSID2001 SEOUL, as a international olympic on the design with KIDP in 2001s.
In addition, we represented of Korean industrial design part and on the international exchanges, we lead them by activity of the group, bringing
juridical member along, participating in international conference and accredit an ambassador of our group.
