Taiwan Design Center
Taiwan Design Center (TDC) is a ntaional center established in 2004 with the support of the Industrial Development Bureau, Taiwan. Formerly called the Design Promotion Center under the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), we have aimed to promote design since the 1970s.

In accordance with the Taiwan national policy 'Challenge 2008: National Development Plan,' the Design Promotion Center was expanded into the Taiwan Design Center and now functions as a multi-functional platform of comprehensive services for the development of creative design.
  • 1979 - Design Promotion Center was founded under the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA)
  • 1985 - Design Promotion Center, TAITRA, joined Icsid
  • 1987 - Design Promotion Center, TAITRA, joined Icograda
  • 1995 - Design Promotion Center, TAITRA hosted the Icsid '95 Taipei and created a milestone in the history of design.
  • 2004 - Design Promotion Center, TAITRA, was re-organized and expanded to a national design center named Taiwan Design Center (TDC)
  • 2007 - TDC has 134 employees, 6 departments and 3 overseas branches in Dusseldorf, San Francisco and Tokyo, repectively.
TDC founded the Taiwan Design Alliance (TDA)
