Danish Designers
Danish Designers is a multidisciplinary professional organization representing more than 1000 individual members. Activities span from members' meetings, network building, training programmes and advice on encouraging recognition, respect and use of design and the skills of Danish designers.

We are a forum for professional designers with the aim of strengthening our role by addressing design as a relevant aspect of society’s development.

Part of our mission is to promote the idea of design as a cultural bearer by playing an active role in cultural politics and participating in current cultural debate.

We offer advice as well as operational tools such as members’ manuals, insurance schemes and networking support. Internally and externally, it is our role to act on behalf of professional designers, and to enhance dialogue with and between our members.

Danish Designers was founded in 1995 as The Association of Danish Designers. After years of discussion, IDD (Industrial Designers of Denmark) and MMI (Furniture Designers and Interior Architects of Denmark) decided to join forces in one strong organization with the mandate to speak on behalf of a united design profession in Denmark.
