National societies or sections of a national society of professional designers, with examination or other form of regulation of entry that ensures professional standards and conduct, may be admitted as professional members. 

This pillar of membership speaks to the interests of professional designers around the world and ensures a focus on issues at the designer level. 

Each professional member can attend the General Assembly with two delegates and has one vote.
