THE DANISH DESIGN PRIZE 2007

After a two-year pause, the Danish Design Prize is back. A little over 100 entries were submitted to the jury, and today 12 of them are pronounced winners of the Danish Design Prize 2007 awarded best new Danish design by the Danish Design Centre.

Experience all the winning products and solutions in an exhibition at the Danish Design Centre until October 14, 2007

The awards aim to do more than simply showcase companies and products/ solutions that already feature design as a key parameter. Hopefully, the awards can serve as inspiration and motivation for others – to the benefit of Danish competitiveness, businesses and, not least, the users. As the Danish Design Centre sees it, good design happens when companies manage to utilise the functional, social and economic potential that design has to offer.

Facts about The Danish Design Prize
The Danish Design Prize was established in 2000 at the merger of the ID Award for industrial design (from 1965) and the IG Award for industrial graphics (from 1980).

The Danish Design Prize is given to companies that have created innovative products and solutions of high aesthetic and technical quality, and that contribute to rendering visible the value and stimulating the use of design in the Danish business industry.

The design solutions were judged by an impartial jury consisting of experts in company management and different design areas.
