CALL FOR ENTRIES: 2008 LOTUS CUP INTERNATIONAL INDUSTRIAL DESIGN PRIZE

Changsha (China) - The Hunan Provincial Government of China invites design students, individual designers from business or design companies, and other industrial design enthusiasts from around the world, as well as enterprises in the Hunan province (including joint ventures and foreign-owned enterprise), to enter the 2008 Lotus Cup International Industrial Design Competition.

Launched on September 27, 2008, under the theme 'Innovation, Harmony and Value', this competition aims to encourage and celebrate all the innovative achievements of industrial design and the contributions of designers both inside and outside of the province. Endorsed by Icsid, the International Design and Art Institutions Union (Cumulus) and the China Industrial Design Association, as well as domestic and foreign experts and judges.

International participants can submit designs under the following categories: Design for life, Vehicle design and Equipment design.

Design categories for Group B include Vehicle design, Equipment design, IT products design, Light industry products, Equipments for medical and scientific use and Brand innovation.

Local participants can submit work under the following categories: Vehicle design, Equipment design, IT products design, Light industry products, Equipments for medical and scientific use and Brand innovation.

Deadline for entry is December 10, 2008.
