Brisbane (Australia) - Arts Minister Rod Welford has launched the Queensland Design Strategy 2020, an 11-year plan to establish the state as the Asia-Pacific's centre for design excellence.

Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina) - Opening on 18 March 2009, "A Look From Behind: Design in Bosnia and Herzegovina" celebrates the fiftieth anniversary of the Association of Applied Artists and Designers of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Zagreb (Croatia) - The Croatian Designers Society has recently moved into its new premises in Croatia's capital, Zagreb, where it will establish the first-ever Design Library in Croatia. All contributions in books and/or magazines related to design would be a most welcome.
