New York (United States) - Icsid Regional Advisor, Professor Ron Nabarro (Israel), has been awarded a World Technology Award in design for his remarkable work and developments in his field.

Lisbon (Portugal) - Within the scope of the National and European Observatory of Design Higher Education, the Centro Português de Design is hosting and organising the 'e-design' European Congress on Higher Education in Design to envision Europe's new environment and economy.

Montreal (Canada) - Icsid has announced on behalf of the members of the WDC Jury that the City of Eindhoven (The Netherlands) and the City of Helsinki (Finland) have been selected for the shortlist of cities that will move on to the next round of evaluation in the hopes of becoming World Design Capital in 2012.

Kronberg (Germany) - The jury-members of the BraunPrize 2009 met for the second round of judging in Kronberg from 8-10 June 2009. After a detailed and in-depth examination of all design models, the jury selected four finalists.

Gallivare (Sweden) - Three months following the Interdesign, this workshop has already started a new positive process in the Municipality of Gällivare - the community is starting a development programme, which has secured partial funding from a local stakeholder.
