DESIGN FORUM FINLAND HOSTS FENNIA PRIZE 2009 AWARDS CEREMONY AND SEMINAR
Helsinki (Finland) - The Fennia Prize - Good design grows global is a competition hosted by Icsid Promotional Member, Design Forum Finland. The biannual competition aims to reward firms and companies for their exemplary use and application of design in business - companies for which design is a central means of product development and brand construction.
The results of the Fennia Prize 2009 design competition will be announced 19 February 2009. The award ceremony takes place at Finlandia Hall starting at 5:00 pm.
The Fennia Prize Design Seminar will take place before the award ceremony at Finlandia Hall in Helsinki, starting from 1:30 - 4:15pm. The seminar focuses on two themes which are related to the use of design in a company's business strategies: Design and Economical Result and Service Design and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
The keynote speakers in the Fennia Prize 2009 Seminar will be Deborah Dawton and Birgit Mager. Deborah Dawton is CEO of the Design Business Association of London that specializes in the relationship of design and business outcome. Professor Birgit Mager works at the University of Cologn. Since 1995, as one of the first in the field, she has been studying and teaching Service Design; her latest research area is Corporate Social Responsibility.
