BRAUNPRIZE 2009 RECEIVES UNPRECEDENTED NUMBER OF SUBMISSIONS
Kronberg (Germany) - A total of 1074 entries from 54 nations were submitted to the BraunPrize 2009, an Icsid endorsed event, exceeding last years count of 903. Never before in the history of the BraunPrize have such a high number of entries been submitted.
The first BraunPrize jury 2009 session was held from 16-18 March 2009. The jury, composed of Anna Kirah, Kazuo Tanaka, Florian Seiffert, Rainer Silbernagel and Peter Schneider, carefully assessed all the submitted projects, which are currently displayed at the town hall in Kronberg. 70 of these projects will be selected based on the 2-dimensional submissions by the jury. The designers of the best selected projects will be asked then to submitt their design models for the second round of judging.
The second jury session will take place from the 8-10 June 2009 and again the projects with the models will be displayed in Kronberg’s town hall. The basis of the assessment in this session is the design model and further material.
