Beijing (China) and Essen (Germany) - On 19 March 2009, Prof. Dr. Peter Zec, President of red dot design Award, and Mr. Chen Dongliang, Director of the Beijing Industrial Design Center (BIDC), signed a memorandum of understanding for design cooperation.



The memorandum of understanding states that design is to be treated as essential for economic development in China and that both parties should strengthen and further develop bilateral activities in matters relating to design. red dot will further develop its design promotion activities in China and will help to communicate between international design related companies and the Chinese economy and will be recommending to visit China so as to provide a design service for Chinese enterprises.
