Farnham (United Kingdom) - 'Sustainable Innovation 2010' conference welcomes, conceptual and research-based papers covering sustainable innovation, technology, product and service design and development. Deadline for abstracts is 26 April 2010.

Sydney (Australia) - The 2010 Australian International Design Awards program, endorsed by Icsid, has attracted a record 202 industry entries and a further 98 student entries, representing a 27% increase on 2009.

Seoul (South Korea) - To celebrate the designation of Seoul as the World Design Capital 2010 and to greet the new year with the people of Seoul, the New Year's Eve Celebration and Seoulite Festival will be held at various locations throughout Seoul during the months of December and January.

Beijing (China) - On 27 November 2009, the China Red Star Design Award held a magnificent award ceremony in the China Central Television (CCTV) building in Beijing.

Dongguan City (China) - The Dongguan Cup International Industrial Design Awards 2009, an Icsid endorsed event held from 28-30 October 2009 at Dongguan City Science and Technology Museum, was deemed a great success.

Hong Kong (China) - At the Business of Design Week 2009 awards gala on 4 December 2009, Kigge Hvid ended a year of pivotal growth for INDEX: by becoming the fifth recipient of the Hong Kong Design Centre's Design Leadership Award.

Montreal (Canada) - The International Council of Societies of Industrial Design (Icsid) Executive Board of Directors for the 2009-2011 term was announced at the close of the Icsid General Assembly on 27 November 2009.

Cardiff (United Kingdom) - On 9 November 2009, the SEE project launched its first Policy Booklet on Integrating Design into Regional Innovation Policy at the SEE network summit in Copenhagen.

Singapore - During the closing ceremony of the Icsid World Design Congress in Singapore, Icsid announced that the appointment of World Design Capital™ (WDC) 2012 has been conferred to the City of Helsinki (Finland).
