Montreal (Canada) - Icograda is introducing its newest initiative, Iridescent: Icograda Journal of Design Research, an online journal fulfilling the vision of the Icograda Design Education Manifesto.

Zurich (Switzerland) - As all disciplines of design move full swing into sustainable design, the packaging of products play an important role in our daily life. The book "Designing Sustainable Packaging" shows that almost revolutionary changes in design are on their way and how designers and producers can cope with them.

Pasadena (United States) - Following the tragic death of Art Center College of Design alumnus and faculty member Norman Schureman this past weekend, the College has established the Norman Schureman Memorial Scholarship, it was formally announced today by Art Center President Dr. Lorne M. Buchman. The Scholarship will be available to incoming Product Design students.

Seoul (South Korea) - Hyundai Motor Co. will donate US$200,000 to assist the international communities' humanitarian relief efforts in earthquake-stricken Chile. The donation will be made to the government of Chile and relief organisations, through Hyundai's regional office in Chile.

Frankfurt (Germany) - The German Design Council will present the 'Design Deutschland 2010' exhibition at the FuoriSalone in Milan (14 to 19 April 2010) and at the ICCF, International Contemporary Furniture Fair in New York (15 to 18 May 2010).

Helsinki (Finland) - The third Finnish Design Yearbook 2010–11 is scheduled to appear in May 2010. The publication will contain a broad overview of both products, concepts, designers and manufacturers involved in contemporary Finnish design.

Sydney (Australia) - A record 111 products ranging from agricultural and medical equipment to consumer appliances and sporting goods are finalists in Standards Australia's prestigious design awards program.

Baltimore (United States) - Design Revolution Road Show is a travelling exhibition and lecture series about the empowerment of product design to 35 high schools and university in 75 days, and is part of the Project H Design initiative.
