Emily Carr University of Art + Design Launches Current

Vancouver (Canada) -  Emily Carr University of Art + Design is proud to announce the launch of the inaugural issue of CURRENT, an academic journal intent on demystifying the design process. As an established centre for research and innovation, Emily Carr contributes to the critical dialogue regarding the role of the designer and design methodology. CURRENT is an invaluable, sustainable contribution to an ongoing discourse on the significance of elucidating this process.

The journal is designed, edited, produced and marketed by undergraduates in communication design with article contributions from students in both the graduate and undergraduate programs, alumni and faculty. The first of its kind in Canada, CURRENT is available as an annual 48-page printed publication and an accompanying online version.

The University welcomes new readers and celebrates the beginnings of a communicative venture to challenge the way we imagine process, discern the validation of the designer and explore the ethos of creative intelligence.
