Award Ceremony a success for First Science & Future International Concept Car Design Contest
Beijing (China) - The Award Ceremony of the First Science & Future International Concept Car Design Contest was held on 22 April, 2010 in Beijing.
Many honoured guests attended the ceremony, among those who gave speeches were Mr. Carlos Hinrichsen, board member and former President of Icsid, Mr. Clive Roux, Executive Director of Industrial Designers Society of America, Mr. Wu Xuebin, Deputy General Manager and President of Automotive Engineering Research Institute of Beiqi Foton motor Co., Ltd, Prof. Liu Guangzhong, Professor of Tsinghua University, Mr. Stefano Cappuccio, President and CEO of Giugiaro (Shanghai) Automotive Design CO., Ltd, Mr. Huang Xiulan, China Sales Manager of Giugiaro (Shanghai) Automotive Design CO., Ltd, Mr. Tian Wenmiao, Deputy Secretary General of China Industrial Design Association, Mr. Huang Ping, Deputy director of Beijing Industrial Design Center, Mr. Wang Jinyu, General Manager of Beiqi Foton motor Co., Ltd, Mr. Yuan Yue, President of Horizon Research Consultancy Group, and Mr. Feng Xi, General Manager of Progress Strategy Consulting Co., Ltd. More than 120 news media from across the country were also on-site and reported on the award ceremony.

During the ceremony, the guests delivered their ideas about the future prospect of automotive trends and gave exciting comments of the winners' design works. College students from the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Tsinghua University, and Beijing Polytechnic University were present among the crowd during this momentous occasion.

The contest gave winners four categories of individual awards: "Grand Award", "Best Harmony Beauty Award", "Best Creative Future Award" and "Best Advanced Technology Award", as well as "Most Popular Award" and "Best Organization Award".
As a professional and international contest, it largely attracted the attention of domestic automobile manufacturers and automotive design professionals. It has been a great event in the field of automotive design. Moreover, the aspiration and breakthrough performed by the design works will lead the future of automotive design.
