Montreal (Canada) – Under the banner of the International Design Alliance (IDA), partner organisations the International Council of Societies of Industrial Design (Icsid), the world body for professional communication design (Icograda) and the International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers (IFI) unveiled today the new visual identity for its biennial IDA Congress.

Pasadena (United States) - Three Designmatters projects from Safe Agua Peru are among the winners for The Spark: Concept Fall Winter Awards: GiraDora: Safe Agua won the highest ranking SPARK! Award; Balde a Balde: Safe Agua won a Gold Award; and Vitamigos: Safe Agua won a Bronze Award.

Munich (Germany) - For the first time, some 1,600 guests celebrated the presentation of the 100 iF gold awards - the iF product design award, the iF communication design award, the iF material design award and the iF packaging design award – at BMW Welt in Munich, Germany.

Copenhagen (Denmark) - Autodesk, Inc. exhibited an innovative new approach for 3D interactive building instructions at LEGO® World 2012 in Copenhagen. The digital assembly instructions can be experienced on a custom developed iPad app powered by Autodesk Inventor Publisher Mobile Viewer and was created specifically for the event.

Geneva (Switzerland) - The WIPO web site of the Hague System for the International Registration of Industrial Designs contains a compilation of annual and monthly statistics.

Lahti (Finland) - Icsid announced today the first recipient of the World Design Impact Prize to Kenyan-based Planning System Services Ltd. for their Community Cooker project. The award was given during the World Design Capital® (WDC) Design Gala in Lahti (Finland), where close to 600 distinguished guests gathered from the international design community.

Paris (France) - The National Design Centre in France will be created by APCI, which will aim to assert a strategic role of design in the economy, improve the competitiveness of French companies and enable design professions to develop.

Boston (United States) - Continuum announced that the company has received seven Good Design Awards (Chicago) and a Red Dot Design Award, two of the world's most prestigious design awards programs, taking their total award count for 2011 award count to 36.

Bangalore (India) - Momentum India 2012 is an initiative of NICC in partnership with CII to provide an informative and interactive platform for Industry, Academia and the Public, and explores careers in demand, developing industry-ready talent, and global trends. Over 500 students and professionals attended Forum and workshops at Momentum India 2012.
