On behalf of the International Design Alliance (IDA), Icsid announced the City of Seoul as the winner of the 2010 World Design Capital competition at the closing ceremony of the CONNECTING’07 congress.

The WDC designation is expected to enhance overall industrial competitiveness of Seoul, in addition to that of design-related material businesses and process technologies, as well as further sophisticate the industrial base of the city.
