At the 2009 Icsid World Design Congress, you can expect speakers from Asia and the rest of the world to engage in conversations spanning a diverse and multi-dimensional perspective, including opportunities and possibilities in Asia and the new powerhouses of the world. The programme comprises of the Main Conference, an Education Conference, a Design Exhibition, Icsid’s General Assembly, as well as an array of Social Programmes.

At the same time, Singapore will be hosting the World Congress for the International Federation of Interior Designers/Architects (IFI).

The 26th Icsid World Design Congress 2009 and the IFI World Congress 2009 will be part of the biennial Singapore Design Festival 2009, which celebrates and promotes design as a propeller of the new economy. The Festival is inclusive, as well as international in its outlook, featuring prominent international and local creative personalities, as well as a myriad of events including conferences, exhibitions, workshops, open houses, product launches, award ceremonies and country presentations. We expect the 2009 Singapore Design Festival to have 100 activities attracting over 100,000 participants.
