The Icsid Board met in Seoul in March 2008 and as part of its visit, was invited by Mr. Il-kyoo Lee, President of KIDP, to the Korea Design Center in order to strengthen the relationship between them.

Since becoming a member in 1973, KIDP has been actively involved in Icsid's work, carrying out a number of responsibilities, including hosting the 22nd Icsid Congress in Korea in 2001.
Icsid Board Members were provided with a tour of the facilities at the Korea Design Center and spent some time exchanging information on current design issues and the status of Korean Design.
