Under the umbrella of the World Design Capital Torino 2008 programme of events, the International Design Policy Conference and the International Design Casa will be held this November in Torino.

This timely international conference will seek to make a significant contribution to our understanding of design as one of the key components in any nation’s strategy to stimulate sustainable economic and cultural growth. The aim of the conference is to shape the global design agenda through better policy making for design.

Conference delegates will have the chance to preview the 'International Design Casa' - an international showcases of design on display in Torino from November 6-13, 2008. Some of the most prestigious international bodies linked to design will temporarily find a 'home' in Torino to present their national design situation through exhibitions and events. They will bring to Torino an original and simultaneous vision on how the cultures of design are expressed in other parts of the world.
