Moutamarat International Design Forum

Moutamarat's first annual International Design Forum is due to take place in Dubai on 27-29 May 2007. As the first global design celebration of its kind to emerge from the Arab World, the IDF is set to seize headlines and imaginations across the world.

International Composites Design Competition Travelling Exhibition

Dates have been set for the travelling exhibition that will showcase the competitions winners and a selection of 20 entries. The exhibition will travel from Brussels to Paris, Barcelona, Budapest, Ljubljana and Eindhoven


Guangzhou Design Week

The theme for 2007 is “Design for the future” and will serve as a communicating platform between designers and entrepreneurs. The week comprises of an international design expo, the “KAPOK PRIZE” – China Original Product Design Awards, a design workshop, an international design forum & seminar, international awards & competitions, covering diversity of design fields such as industrial design, branding & graphic design, cityscape & architecture design, interior design and fashion design.

Results of the first jury session
After careful assessment the jury selected from the presented 941 submissions the best projects.

68 projects from 17 nations reached the second round of judging. The jury members will meet again from June 11 - 13, 2007 at the town hall in Kronberg for the next session. At this stage the design model is the basis of the assessment.


Microsoft/IDSA Next-Gen Design Competition

Between August 15 and December 18, 2006, Microsoft and the Industrial Designers Society of America held a competition to challenge established design teams, independent designers and students from around the world to rethink the Windows-based PC experience - from personal productivity at work or home, to entertainment, mobility and lifestyle. Winners will be announced in May 2007.
