They say two heads are better than one… So how about several dozen? Interdesign is a powerful programme that brings together some of the brightest minds from around the world to work on a complex problem.

Over two weeks, industrial designers—along with professionals from complementary disciplines—analyse a glocal issue (a local issue with global significance) and propose solutions for the host city or country to implement. The innovative solutions proposed may then also be applied in other similar situations around the world.

Topics covered by Interdesigns include design for the environment, urban transportation, an ageing population, solar and wind energy, medical equipment, and water management. Since 1971, there have been 38 workshops in over 25 countries. That’s 45 years of designing together for a better world.
