An international Icsid Congress is held every two years and is followed by the Icsid General Assembly. These congresses focus on current design issues, as well as directions for the future.
Icsid 50 – the fiftieth anniversary of Icsid - celebrated 50 years dedicated to the future of industrial design. Events all around the world paid tribute to Icsid’s rich history.

For the second time, Icsid Board Members were invited to participate in the Artistic Proposal Monitor Project 2007 - LCD Monitor L1900 (Fantasy series).
Icsid Board Members were invited to participate in the first ever Artistic Proposal Monitor Project - a project initiated by LG Electronics in preparation for CeBIT 2006 - the world's largest technology show held in Hannover, Germany March 9-15, 2006.
In 2005, Icsid took part in a fact-finding initiative in conjunction with Icograda with the aim of gathering information on the topic of Women in Design.
