Montreal (Canada) - The Taiwan Design Center (TDC), in collaboration with the International Design Alliance (IDA), held an important event for the global advancement of design-based collaboration. Dr. Vandana Shiva is a philosopher, environmental activist and eco feminist, as well as one of the founders of Navdanya (Nine Seeds) International, a non-governmental organisation promoting biodiversity conservation. Described by 'The Guardian' newspaper as 'one of the world's most prominent radical scientists', Dr. Shiva will be at the 2011 IDA Congress addressing the topic of design and biotechnology.
