How To Calculate Market Potential?

The following terms are found in the Marketing Dictionary In view of a specific period of time, a product’s total market potential is calculated by considering the highest amount of potential sales of that particular product in that specific industry. If there are one million potential buyers of a particular product in the market and the average buyer buys four units in that year at a price of one dollar per unit, then the total market potential for that product for the year would be one million times four, times one, or four millions. The total market potential can be expressed either as a dollar figure or a unit figure.
